Who Needs A License
There are different licencing requirements depending on how you or your organisation will use the CCSD Schedule. These are set out below – along with links to the relevant online application forms.
Individual providers (Consultants)
(e.g Consultants, practitioners)
If you are an individual provider of healthcare services, such as a consultant, podiatrist, dentist etc you will not be required to pay for a licence. However, you will need to apply online (link below) and agree to the terms and conditions of use before you are able to access the Members’ pages of the CCSD website.
Provider Organisations
(e.g. Private Hospitals, NHS Trusts)
Organisations which provide healthcare services, such as hospitals, day care units, specialty units, etc are required to pay for an annual licence.
You will need to apply online and will then be sent a licence agreement and invoice. Once CCSD Group has received your licence fee payment and a signed copy of your licence agreement, you will be granted access to the Members’ pages of CCSD website.
Insurer Organisations
If you are a health insurer or health insurance administration organisation, you will need to purchase an annual licence.
You will need to apply online and will then be sent a licence agreement and invoice. Once CCSD Group has received your licence fee payment and a signed copy of your licence agreement, you will be granted access to the Members’ pages of CCSD website.
Other Organisations
(e.g. Software Providers etc)
If you are a software provider, billing agency, consultancy firm or any other organisation that wishes to use the CCSD Schedule for commercial or research purposes, you will need to purchase an annual licence.
You will need to apply online and will then be sent a licence agreement and invoice. Once CCSD Group has received your licence fee payment and a signed copy of your licence agreement, you will be granted access to the Members’ pages of CCSD website.
It’s important to note that these lists are not exhaustive. In cases where an organisation applies for an ‘Other’ Organisation license type, the appropriate license type is determined on a case-by-case basis through an assessment process. This ensures that the license granted aligns with the organisation’s specific requirements and activities.
Please note that whilst all users of the CCSD Schedule must agree to the licence terms and conditions, the CCSD Group’s intention is that CCSD members do not gain financial profit from licensing.
The requirement for a licence fee is to ensure that a reasonable surplus is created, enabling the maintenance of, and other potential future improvements to the CCSD Schedule. If there is any surplus from the licence revenue it will be used to either further improve the Schedule or to reduce the licence fee for the following year.
